research no.1 - gun

Before we started shooting out opening me and my group researched different aspects and ideas to help us when we start filming

I researched about guns so that when we have guns in our scene they would sound and be dealt with the way they are supposed work. We want the guns to be as realistic as they can get without having to shoot the guns for real

The types of guns used in hunting

  1. Rifles
  2. Shotguns
  3. Handguns

Rifles

What the gun looks like

How to hold the gun

1. steady yourself (stay still)

2. with your non firing hand steady the gun using the hand grip (make a v with ur thumb and forefingers). your thumb should be on one side of the grip and the other fingers should be on the other side of the grip

3. put the butt of the rifle in the pocket of your firing shoulder

4. with your firing hand grip the pistol grip but before you are ready to fire you should not have any fingers curled around the trigger

5. keep your elbows in and down as well as relaxing your cheek so it naturally falls to the stock

6. relax your body then shoot

Sound of a shot

in the video you can hear what the rifle sounds like

Ammunition

most hunting rifles can hold 3 - 5 rounds but some can hold up to 10 rounds

some can only hold 1 round

How to reload the gun

reload time for a single shot rifle can take 3-6 seconds on average

this is how you reload a gun

Range of the gun

rifle can shoot, if being shot by a skilled hunter, over 1,000 metres
